Jesus Can Heal You
By Brian Price 8/17/09

Dear Friend, let me tell you some good news. Jesus Christ, the Lord of glory, still does miracles!
"Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and today, and forever." - Hebrews 13:8
I know there are people out there with their opinions. Everyone is entitled to one. Which is why Jesus asked his disciples, "Whom do men say that I the Son of man am?" (Matt. 16:13). He asked that question because he knew what people said about him...
"And there was much murmuring among the people concerning him: for some said, He is a good man: others said, Nay; but he deceiveth the people." - John 7:12

"And many of the people believed on him, and said, When Christ cometh, will he do more miracles than these which this man hath done?" - John 7:31

"He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am?" - Matthew 16:15
Now comes the question... Who do you say that Jesus is? Jesus said in Matthew 28:18, "All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth." That means, he has the power to heal you. No matter what disease you may have, it doesn't mean a hill of beans to him. You have cancer? It's cureable. You have back problems? It's fixable. You have something that science has not even recognized yet? He has the answer.

Let me take you through just a few verses just to show how great our God, Jesus Christ, is.

"2 And, behold, there came a leper and worshipped him, saying, Lord, if thou wilt, thou canst make me clean.
3 And Jesus put forth his hand, and touched him, saying, I will; be thou clean. And immediately his leprosy was cleansed." -
Matthew 8:2-3

"40 And Jesus stood, and commanded him to be brought unto him: and when he was come near, he asked him,
41 Saying, What wilt thou that I shall do unto thee? And he said, Lord, that I may receive my sight.
42 And Jesus said unto him, Receive thy sight: thy faith hath saved thee.
43 And immediately he received his sight, and followed him, glorifying God: and all the people, when they saw it, gave praise unto God."
- Luke 18:40-43
"10 But that ye may know that the Son of man hath power on earth to forgive sins, (he saith to the sick of the palsy,)
11 I say unto thee, Arise, and take up thy bed, and go thy way into thine house.
12 And immediately he arose, took up the bed, and went forth before them all; insomuch that they were all amazed, and glorified God, saying, We never saw it on this fashion." -
Mark 2:10-12
"12 Now when he came nigh to the gate of the city, behold, there was a dead man carried out, the only son of his mother, and she was a widow: and much people of the city was with her.
13 And when the Lord saw her, he had compassion on her, and said unto her, Weep not.
14 And he came and touched the bier: and they that bare him stood still. And he said, Young man, I say unto thee, Arise.
15 And he that was dead sat up, and began to speak. And he delivered him to his mother."
- Luke 7:12-15
"32 And they bring unto him one that was deaf, and had an impediment in his speech; and they beseech him to put his hand upon him.
33 And he took him aside from the multitude, and put his fingers into his ears, and he spit, and touched his tongue;
34 And looking up to heaven, he sighed, and saith unto him, Ephphatha, that is, Be opened.
35 And straightway his ears were opened, and the string of his tongue was loosed, and he spake plain." -
Mark 7:32-35
"For this people's heart is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes they have closed; lest at any time they should see with their eyes and hear with their ears, and should understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them." - Matthew 13:15
The Bible says that men are not healed because of their refusal to go to God for healing. Notice the scriptures says "their eyes have THEY closed." Every person has a choice to either listen to God, or to shut their eyes and ears. Friend, God can heal you! But the question is, will you believe him to do it?

Nothing is impossible with God. How, you ask? Because the Lord Jesus himself said so!

"And he said, The things which are impossible with men are possible with God." - Luke 18:27
Pray. Ask God to heal you in the name of the Lord Jesus.
"22 And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God.
23 For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.
24 Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.
25 And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses.
26 But if ye do not forgive, neither will your Father which is in heaven forgive your trespasses." -
Mark 11:22-26

Jesus said that when you pray, believe that you'll receive it, and you will. He didn't say you would receive it immediately, but he did say you will receive it. The key is to trust him for your healing, and then wait for it. And continue to pray until you receive something.

Please understand, however, that just because you may not receive a miraculous healing, that doesn't mean, you won't ever be healed. If you know Jesus as your Lord and Savior, one day, YOU WILL BE HEALED PERMANENTLY.

If you are familiar with the story of the rich man and Lazarus, then you'll know that Lazarus, according to the text, was probably a leper. He had leprosy. He did indeed die. The Lazarus of Luke chapter 16 was more than likely the same Lazarus who was brother to Mary and Martha. Hence the reason why Abraham said, "If they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead," (Luke 16:31). Which thing also happened when Jesus raised Lazarus up from the dead, and the religious leaders still didn't repent (See John 12:10-11). But if you'll remember, the Bible says that "the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham's bosom," (Luke 16:22). Which means the angels carried Lazarus to Abraham's side. The Bible then says, "...but now he is comforted," (Luke 16:25). So regardless of whether or not it was the same Lazarus who was brother to Mary and Martha, Jesus still testified of his comfort which was given to him after his death.

There are many people out there right now who do in fact know Jesus as their Lord and Savior, but have died by disease. This does not mean Jesus didn't answer their prayer, but rather, it means his answer came at his perfect timing. Whereas once they were in pain in this life, they have now passed unto eternal bliss in the next life.

"And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away." - Revelation 21:4

"For I am in a strait betwixt two, having a desire to depart, and to be with Christ; which is far better..." - Philipians 1:23

"We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord." - 2 Corinthians 5:8

There are a lot of Charismatics and Pentacostals out there that think that if you didn't get healed at a healing revival, then you didn't have enough faith. Truth be told, they might be right. But they could also be dead wrong. We do have to keep in mind that Paul, though he had performed many miracles, yet, he did have a thorn in the flesh, so-to-speak (2 Corinthians 12:7-9). And the Bible never once forbid anyone to go to the doctor, though some have believed that. Jesus said those who are whole have no need of the physician, but they that are sick (Mark 2:17). In fact, a physician wrote 2 books of the Bible.
"Luke, the beloved physician..." - Colossians 4:14

The point of this article is to give you some hope. Jesus is God. He proved it with his miracles, and especially by his resurrection. And because of his omnipotence, he can do anything, even for you if you'll just ask him! I understand if you go to the doctor for help, but you owe it to our God to give him the chance to miraculously heal you. I believe God is willing to truly heal today because the Bible says that he changes not. He is the same yesterday, today, and forever. The miracles which he did in Bible times are not impossible for him to do in our day. He still does them today. Sometimes, there is nothing that man can do for people. There's only so much he can do. The Bible says that vain is the help of man (Psalms 60:11). Man's help is vain! And truly it is when comparing man with God. Jesus said that the things which are impossible with men ARE possible with God. James said that you have not because ye ask not (James 4:2).

Beyond all of this, there is only one thing that is more important than your physical healing. And truly, your physical healing will fall into place one day, as long as you get this one other thing right. And that is to believe on the Lord Jesus Christ.
