Pornography Leads To Hell
by Brian Price 9/4/09

INTRO

What I am about to talk about is something that I myself struggled with for many years as a youth. It is not easy talking about pornography, because as a man, it is a daily struggle to stay pure. And it all starts with the heart, and with the mind.
"27 Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not commit adultery:
28 But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart." -
Matthew 5:27-28
DO NOT COMMIT ADULTERY

When the Lord Jesus said in Matthew chapter 5 that whosoever looks on a woman to lust after her, he has committed adultery with her already in his heart, he used the word adultery on purpose. Reason why is because the majority of men are already married. But this verse does not only apply to married men. It is understood that he is also displeased with committing fornication in one's heart. So when one looks on a woman to lust after her, he has committed either adultery or fornication with her in his heart.

Adultery is nothing less than destructive. God knows this, and for this reason he has put so many warnings in the Bible. Solomon, the most well known author that preached against adultery, fell into the same sin which he preached against. And if Solomon, who was as wise and holy as he was, fell into the trap of adultery, then we Christians must also beware that we fall not after the same example of whoredom.

Here are just a few verses Solomon wrote concerning adultery:

"23 For the commandment is a lamp; and the law is light; and reproofs of instruction are the way of life:
24 To keep thee from the evil woman, from the flattery of the tongue of a strange woman.
25 Lust not after her beauty in thine heart; neither let her take thee with her eyelids.
26 For by means of a whorish woman a man is brought to a piece of bread: and the adultress will hunt for the precious life.
27 Can a man take fire in his bosom, and his clothes not be burned?
28 Can one go upon hot coals, and his feet not be burned?
29 So he that goeth in to his neighbour's wife; whosoever toucheth her shall not be innocent.
30 Men do not despise a thief, if he steal to satisfy his soul when he is hungry;
31 But if he be found, he shall restore sevenfold; he shall give all the substance of his house.
32 But whoso committeth adultery with a woman lacketh understanding: he that doeth it destroyeth his own soul.
33 A wound and dishonour shall he get; and his reproach shall not be wiped away.
34 For jealousy is the rage of a man: therefore he will not spare in the day of vengeance.
35 He will not regard any ransom; neither will he rest content, though thou givest many gifts." -
Proverbs 6:23-35

In fact, Solomon wrote more about adultery and sexual immorality than any other author in the Bible. And although he himself appeared to greatly despise the sin, even he fell into it's tantalizing web of deception. And friend...

YOU AND I ARE NO DIFFERENT!

We are just as susceptible as he was. And maybe even more so because of technology.

PORNOGRAPHY CAN LEAD TO DEEPER SINS

When I think of pornography, I like to compare it to the Sirens in the story The Odyssey. In the story, Odysseus tells the men of his ship to tie him to the mast when they passed by the Sirens. The Sirens were beautiful women that allured sea men to their island through their beautiful singing. But when the men would go to the Sirens, the women creatures would eat them alive.

Pornography works in this sort of way because it allures men into its trap through its enticement, and in the end, it swallows up the men whole, and utterly destroys them.

In one scripture, Solomon wrote that she hath cast down many wounded, "...yea many strong men have been slain by her," (Proverbs 7:26). It's true, many reputable men, Christian men, powerful men in government, pastors, teachers, fathers, and good husbands, all have been destroyed by pornography's deceit. In many cases, it literally has brought utter ruin, both financial ruin and ruin of the home. And in some cases, it has brought death, and even suicide.

There is also a lingering question that is tied to pornography. One question that is certainly wanting is this: Why are prisons filled with so many psychos? Psychos such as rapists, sadistic murderers and rapists, and child molesters.

The answer is linked to pornography. Some research suggests that the very psychopathic sexual criminals all had some sort of run-in with pornography. The sexual perversion usually began at a young age of puberty with masterbation, and then escalated from there to seemingly harmless "soft porn." Then it led to the more hardcore pornography, and finally into the realms of the extreme. I'm sure you can use your imagination. But let me throw you a hint. It has to do with animals. And it has to with children.

As a former porn addict, I can tell you from experience that it all started out with the so-called normal pornography. Soft-porn as some call it. I was as young as 12 years old. But as time went on, my eyes were not satisfied, and my heart desired to see more. And from there it progressively got worse. And my addiction pretty much stayed in the realms of the adult heterosexual intercourse. But, as any porn addict understands, the websites which you stumble upon are not always so "normal." In fact, the things which the eyes accidentally see are downright wicked and evil to the core. Because in God's eyes, there is evil, and then there are what he calls, "the depths of Satan," (Revelation 2:24). In other words, there are things out there so wicked and so evil and so dark, that it can only be ascribed to the archenemy himself as the father of such wickedness.

The Bible says it's a shame to even speak of those things which are done of them in secret (Ephesians 5:12), which is why I am doing my very best to choose my words carefully. And since I come from such an addiction, such words must be avoided for my own mental purity. The only thing that I can relate to with what I mean is probably a former torture victim. It's difficult for a torture victim to talk about what he went through because even though he is no longer in that environment, his torments so affected him, that even to think about his experiences, it brings immense trouble to his mind and to his soul. Such is what it is like for myself. I don't expect many women to understand what I am talking about, but for men who have been through the addictions of pornography, they know exactly what I mean.

And what is even more strange about prisons being filled with all sorts of creeps, is that it's mostly all men who are doing these things. But why? Why is that?

You don't see women going around grabbing on kids inappropriately, or women going around raping people. It's mostly men. Sure there are a few exceptions with women, but for the most part, it's men. Strange, don't you think?

But I believe, like for any subject, God has an answer in the Bible. The Bible makes more references to men than anything else in being things like, "wicked sinners," such as was the case during the days of Lot in Sodom (Genesis 13:13), or "certain lewd fellows of the baser sort" (Acts 17:5). Many times, the Bible refers to men in being the culprits of much sin and iniquity. In fact, it was men who caused the children of Israel to wander in the wilderness for 40 years (Numbers 32:11). And it was a man, Korah, who resisted Moses with his gainsayings, and ended up forfeiting his life as well as the life of his family. Many, many examples are in the Bible concerning the male gender and his sin.

"And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually." - Genesis 6:5

What does this mean for women? This means that women ought to take heed that they do not get lifted up with pride in thinking they are better than men. Because guess who are the ones all over the internet sites...? You guessed it. Whorish women.

It's just my own opinion, but I think that men tend to be more wicked in their doings than women. You see, because we men have the eyes that we have, and we have the parts down below that we have, it plays a huge role in how we think. God created the woman specifically for the man (1 Corinthians 11:9). Women were created to be wives and mothers. They were not designed to work outside in the blistering heat. They were made for helping the man (Genesis 2:18). They have purpose and meaning. They fulfill their purpose and meaning when they are loving and submissive wives. They go against their divine purpose when they pursue things outside of being a godly wife and mother. Likewise men destroy their purpose by cheating on their wife, beating her, and by being wimpy.

Man is visually stimulated, which makes perfect sense for why God intended for women to be beautiful. Most men do not like having an obese wife. Sorry ladies. But it's true.

But because man's eyes can never be satisfied, regardless of how beautiful his wife is; it's never enough. I've seen men with the most beautiful wives in the world, and yet it wasn't enough to keep their eyes off of naked women on the internet.

"Hell and destruction are never full; so the eyes of man are never satisfied." - Provberbs 27:20
And therefore, since pornography is easily accessible and temporarily satisfying, men turn to it. It's sin, to say the least.

SO WHAT CAN ONE DO?

I'm so glad you asked!   Friend, Jesus said that whosoever commits sin is the servant (slave) of sin.

"35 And the servant abideth not in the house for ever: but the Son abideth ever.
36 If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed." -
John 8:35-36
Only Jesus can set you free. How can you receive that freedom? You have to call upon him. Simply call out to him, saying something to this degree, "Lord Jesus, please save me. Please forgive me of all my sins. Please set me free. I'm so sorry for my sins."
"That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved." - Romans 10:9
Otherwise, the Bible tells us what the future is for the sinner who does not repent:
"19 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,
20 Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies,
21 Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God." -
Galatians 5:19-21
I can tell you from experience, as I have been now set free from pornography for 5 years this September 12th, that Jesus is REAL, and he does set people free. You just have to ask him.
