Jesus Was Allah's Prophet
by Brian Price 5/1/10

"For Moses truly said unto the fathers, A prophet shall the Lord your God raise up unto you of your brethren, like unto me; him shall ye hear in all things whatsoever he shall say unto you." - Acts 3:22
Islam's claim is that Muhammed is Allah's prophet. This is a false assumption. The reason why is because the Bible already tells us who Allah's prophet is. It's Jesus. Muhammed was born around 571 A.D. That's more than 500 years after Jesus. When the apostle Peter spoke this sermon above in the book of Acts, he was quoting the book of Deuteronomy, when Moses said these words:
"15 The LORD thy God will raise up unto thee a Prophet from the midst of thee, of thy brethren, like unto me; unto him ye shall hearken;
16 According to all that thou desiredst of the LORD thy God in Horeb in the day of the assembly, saying, Let me not hear again the voice of the LORD my God, neither let me see this great fire any more, that I die not.
17 And the LORD said unto me, They have well spoken that which they have spoken.
18 I will raise them up a Prophet from among their brethren, like unto thee, and will put my words in his mouth; and he shall speak unto them all that I shall command him." - Deuteronomy 18:15-18
Peter was telling the people at Jerusalem at that time that the Prophet had already come in the person of Jesus Christ. And guess who Jesus was? The Same who gave the law to Moses!
"1 Moreover, brethren, I would not that ye should be ignorant, how that all our fathers were under the cloud, and all passed through the sea;
2 And were all baptized unto Moses in the cloud and in the sea;
3 And did all eat the same spiritual meat;
4 And did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Christ." - 1 Corinthians 10:1-4
So what about Muhammed? Was he a prophet at all? Sure he was.
"Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves." - Matthew 7:15
Because the Bible was written by men who walked and talked with the Savior Jesus, they knew that if anyone else tried to claim diety after him, the same would be a false prophet and a liar. And the Lord God Jesus knew that hundreds of years before these things would even come to pass. Because he said:
"Take heed that no man deceive you.
For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many." - Matthew 24:4-5
He knew that one day many would come saying that they were Christ. Such was the case with Muhammed. He claimed to be the Christ by saying he was the promised Prophet. Now we know why the disciples of the Lord said the following:
"But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed." - Galatians 1:8
Even though the angel Gabriel supposedly came down from heaven and told Muhammed what to do, the Bible calls that angel cursed, though he might be Gabriel himself. Allah, if you want to call God that, already came in the person of Jesus Christ. So to believe Muhammed is Allah's prophet is a falsehood.
