Tears Will Lead To Joy
By Brian Price 10/26/2013

"5 They that sow in tears shall reap in joy.
6 He that goeth forth and weepeth, bearing precious seed, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him." - Psalms 126:5-6

Here we read in Psalms about the promise of joy being given to those who weep. Jesus said in Luke 6:21, "Blessed are ye that weep now: for ye shall laugh." During the last supper, he told his disciples, "Verily, verily, I say unto you, That ye shall weep and lament, but the world shall rejoice: and ye shall be sorrowful, but your sorrow shall be turned into joy," - John 16:20. God knows and he sees our tears. There is a song that many of you may know called 'Tears In Heaven' by Eric Clapton. A verse in the song says, "Beyond the door there's peace, I'm sure and I know there'll be no more tears in heaven." You see, there are no tears in heaven. There is only everlasting joy. The book of Revelation says, "And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away," (Rev. 21:4). We see things on this earth and we often wonder where God is. Where was God when all of these things were happening? But what we fail to realize is that he is right there with us. Perhaps we ignore him or shut him out, but no matter what we do, no matter what tears we cry, God is always there.
