Let No Man Deceive You
By Brian Price 5/14/2013

"4 And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you.
5 For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many." - Matthew 24:4-5

The greatest lie the devil ever told was that he does not exist. Here we read in Matthew 24 that Jesus said, "Take heed that no man deceive you." Do you realize that there are many deceivers in this world? There are more false prophets than there are true. It is a sad fact of life that there are a vast more number of deceivers than preachers of the truth. When we look at the story of King Ahab and King Jehoshaphat, we can see a good example. 1 Kings 22:6 says, "Then the king of Israel gathered the prophets together, about four hundred men, and said unto them, Shall I go against Ramothgilead to battle, or shall I forbear? And they said, Go up; for the LORD shall deliver it into the hand of the king." After hearing the false prophets tell the king a lie, they decided to finally hear what a true prophet of God had to say. Unfortunately, only one was available that day... Micaiah the son of Imla. Imagine that. Out of 400 men, only 1 was a true prophet of God. The same can be found today. Turn on the TV, or go to a college, or go to any library and pick up a book. False prophets and false teachings are everywhere. But there one true Prophet that speaks, and we ought to take heed that we listen to him.
