The LORD Created Us By His Word
By Brian Price 5/7/2013

"Know ye that the LORD he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture. Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name." - Psalms 100:3-4

Although evolution may be a well respected theory among many people (including church goers), it is, however, about as truthful as a politician. We see here in Psalms chapter 100 that God is the one who created us, and not we ourselves. We did not get here without God's help. Some people would like to think that we did it all on our own, that somehow, God was not in the picture. Of course, that is not how it happened at all. If we think that God needed to use evolution as the means to create life, then we are limiting his power and saying that he is not able to create life. Hebrews 11:3 says, "Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear." It seems that evolution was also a theory in the apostle Paul's day because he addressed it here in Hebrews saying that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear. Living things did not gradually evolve from other living things, but rather God created all life in their present day form in 6 literal days by the power of his word, which is the same word that we read in the holy Bible. The same word that said to the dead man, "Lazarus, come forth," and the same word that said to the man with leprosy, "Be thou clean," is the same word that said in the beginning, "Let there be."
