Fire and War For God's Enemies
By Brian Price 04/12/2013

"2 Clouds and darkness are round about him: righteousness and judgment are the habitation of his throne.
3 A fire goeth before him, and burneth up his enemies round about." - Psalms 97:2-3
Grass is meant for those who love peace to lie down, but fire is meant for war. Did you know that God reserves the fire for those who are at war with him? But God loves those who are his enemies and therefore desires peace with them, not war. The Bible says in Romans ch. 5, "But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." Two verses later the Bible describes "us" as God's enemies saying, "For if when we were ENEMIES..." You see, although the fire will go before God to burn up his enemies, he still desires to have mercy upon them. The olive branch of peace is extended to those who war against him, but if they strike, the branch is burned along with those who would not have it.

If You Died Today, Would You Go To Heaven?
